Macros take a backseat to navigation on a “4 mile journey” from Burgess Hill that actually turned into a 4 hour journey wandering past Great Ote Hall, through grain fields and even free-range hens at Mac’s farm! Those Ordinance Survey maps require a very practiced eye and a great internal compass, neither of which I possess. I also learned that Ditchling Common, where the fern and beetle were captured, is nowhere near Ditchling town. The latter is a quaint little place that thankfully had a teashop with comfy chairs and cake to tempt you.
