Routeburn Track: waterfalls, bouncy bridges and riflemen

We were a group of 2 Brazilians, a Canadian and a kiwi guide enjoying first photos along the gorgeous Wakatipu lake then a drive to Glenorchy for the main event- a 20k tramp up to see the Routeburn falls. Along the way we saw tiny green birds called riflemen that spiral quickly up the trunks of trees, we crossed many cable bridges (maximum load of 2-10 people, it varied each time!) which bounced and swung, saw braided rivers which were quite low so we were often crossing pebbles only, and saw majestic views reminiscent of The Lord of the Rings.
