Picton & the Marlborough Sounds

Picton is small and full of Germans, especially my rather scruffy backpackers, the Atlantis, chosen for its location and proximity to the wharf, bus terminus and train station rather than its um stylish decor. We had a day and a half of warm weather before the clouds started to roll in yesterday evening.

Cafés include the Cortado (nice patio near the Great War memorial above) and Gusto (which had a better flat white). I ate a beautiful dinner of green lipped mussels in white wine, garlic and tomato at Le Cafe last night, also with views of the attractive foreshore.
