Waiheke Island: tastings at three wineries (Jurassic Ridge, Mudbrick, and Cable Bay), a short walk from the hub Oneroa and a dip in the sea (first Kiwi swim!!) at Oneroa beach. The beach was beautiful, water was clear so why look any further? This was definitely not a cheap day as tastings started at $10 for a flight and the ferry ticket was about a dollar per minute for a 35 minute journey! Plus a very nice lunch and a bottle of Sauvignon from Jurassic Ridge. A central Telecom wifi box (they offer 1Gb per day of al fresco wifi to PAYG customers) and a black plum gelato helped ease the strain of such a stressful day 😉
